Busy week in Room 3

We are having a very busy week this week. We are lucky to be having swimming lessons with Swimsation, we have been making and cooking in solar powered pizza box ovens, and tomorrow it is the Gala (more to follow on that).

Enquiry Task

In Room 3 all the students are going to finding the answers to some questions about the life of Jesus.  Everyone has chosen one of the class questions to answer (see picture) and have also formulated a question of their own.  We have spoken about using reliable sources if doing research on the Internet.  Students will be using books, including the Bible and our school RE books, and asking family members for information to help them answer their questions.

Today  for  golden  time  we  had  a  malteser race  it   was  fun 

New Leaders

Today our new school leaders received their badges.  In Room 3 we have a great bunch of leaders who will be a great help to me this year.

Mrs Todd's Torture

This week for Goldentime, Room 3 voted for Endurance. Mrs Todd devised a number of torturous activities including standing on one leg, opening and closing a peg and holding onto a large piece of ice. Mrs Todd had LOTS of fun!!! Endurance on PhotoPeach

Shrove Tuesday!

Shrove Tuesday. Later today, Room3 made pancakes as a good snack for the day. We decorated them with nice delicious toppings. Why? It’s Shrove Tuesday! What’s Shrove Tuesday you asked? Well it’s the last day before Lent begins. Pancakes were forbidden in the old days at Lent. And That’s the story of Shrove Tuesday. By Alliyah. Today it was shrove day and our teacher cooked us pancakes, and the rest of us were putting toppings at the top. It was really funny because the toppings were falling off, the pancakes and it was all over our desks. The pancakes was delicious and fun to make. By Paulene. Today was Shrove Tuesday. From the kindness of Mrs Todd’s heart she made pancakes. They were the best pancakes I have ever tasted in my whole entire life and we brang topping’s to put on the pancakes and gosh they were nice. Gumboot Throwing

Today for golden time we did gumboot throwing it was quite a laugh,this is Emma-sue throwing gumboot,we really had fun i cant wait to do it another time.

Gardening girls

Today we went to StMarys gardens and picked some tomatoes and cucumbers. We asked Mr Macmillan if we could be school gardners and help with all the veges. He said yes so now we are the gardening girls.
