Week 8

The Outstanding Student award finished last week, and we had no Figure it Out winners.  We did, however have a Roll of Honour winner - Kiera.  

Next week we find out who the term winner is and ..... who will be the Ultimate Winner for the year!!!

Week 7

We had two Outstanding Students this week - Datha and Gabriel.  The Roll of Honour and Figure it Out was carried over to Monday because of Athletics Day.

Week 5

Tyler got the Figure it Out this week, Eliotte won the Roll of Honour and Kim was nominated to be Outstanding Student of the Week.  See me on Monday for your prizes.

Week 4

Still no winner for Figure it Out!  Charlie won the Roll of Honour and we had two nominees for Student of the Week - Tyler and Taekata.

There were no correct entries for Figure it Out this week.  The week 3 winner of Roll of Honour was Ceana and Sarah was nominated to be the Outstanding Student of the week. 

Our week 2 winners are: Kate for Figure it Out, Ashish for Outstanding Student and Eliotte for Roll of Honour.  

Off to a good start with two Figure it Out winners - Harold and Alex.  Chloe was nominated to be Outstanding Student.  We had a lot of students tied to win Roll of Honour so that is carried over to next week.

Our winners were - George for Outstanding Student, Tyler for Figure it Out and Hemi for Roll on Honour.

Because of camp, we only have 2 weeks left for winner of the week.  Have you managed to get 10 ticks this term?  I wonder who will be the term champion?

Gert got the Figure it Out, Koby was nominated for Outstanding Student and Jasmine continues her bid for world domination by winning Roll of Honour.

Samuel and Jasmine tied for 1st place on the Roll of Honour, Alex Figured it Out and Jasmine was nominated to be Outstanding Student of the Week.

It must have been a good week for Eliotte this week - she got the Figure it Out again and she was nominated to be Outstanding Student.  Jasmine also Figured it out and Kate won the Roll of Honour.

Week 4 - Lilly was so excited to find she was the Figure it Out winner!!  Our other winners were Campbell for the Roll of Honour and Karan is the Outstanding Student for the week.

We have a few winners to catch up with for the last 2 weeks - Stacey and Grace have been the Figure it Out winners this term,  Amelia, Riya and Campbell have been Roll of Honour winners, and our latest Outstanding Students have been Joseph and Phebe.  Phew, I think we are up to date now!!

Yana was the Roll of Honour winner.  We had no Figure it Out winners and the Outstanding Student is taking a break this week while I try to mend the book.

Week 5
Hemi won Roll of Honour, Joseph Figured it out, and Amelia was nominated to be Outstanding Student.

Misty won the Roll of Honour again this week.  Well done.  The Outstanding Student is Molly and Samuel figured out the Figure it out.

Grace is the Outstanding Student next week. Nobody got the Figure it Out this week and the Roll of Honour winner was Misty.






Week 2

Yana was the Figure it Out winner.

Samuel won the Roll of Honour in week 1 and Layton was nominated to be Outstanding Student.  We had one correct answer in the Figure it Out but it had no name on it and nobody claimed it!

Four people got the Figure it Out right this week so we did a draw and Taylor was the lucky one to win the prize.  The outstanding student nominated was Maddison and Lauren won the Roll of Honour.

The Roll of honour winner was Samuel and the outstanding student was Hemi and the figure it out winner this week goes to molly.

Week 3
No one won the Figure it Out this week.  The Roll of Honour winner was Joseph and the Outstanding Student nominee was Riya.

Week 2

This week we had a tie for first place on the Roll of Honour - Lauren and Ryan.  Well done. Libby was the Figure it Out winner and Lilly's name was drawn to be Outstanding Student.

Campbell and Layton Figured it Out, Molly and Hemi tied on the Roll of Honour and Lauren's name was pulled out to be Outstanding Student of the Week.

Week 4

We had a draw on the Roll of Honour this week - Chad and Yana.  Lots of students were nominated for Outstanding Student and the name drawn out was Max.  Although Riya corrected figured out the Figure it Out again, she had some competition this week and Layton's correct entry was the one drawn out.  Well done everyone.

Week 3

It is nice to see lots of people are starting to nominate their classmates for Outstanding Student of the Week.  Keep it up.  This week, the faces look very familiar.  Riya was Figure it Out winner again and Molly was Roll of Honour winner again.  Anna was drawn out of the pot to be Outstanding Student and I would like to give a special mention to Yana who has been the Boggle champion every week.  I think she is looking for some competition so get thinking everyone.

In Room 3 there are three chances every week to be a winner.  Students can be Outstanding Student of the Week (nominated by the class), they can be the Figure it Out winner (solving a picture or word puzzle), and MOST IMPORTANTLY, they can be the Roll of Honour Winner.

þ Ask questions! Show that you are interested in what’s going on by asking intelligent and well-thought-out questions to find out more.

þ Be independent. You can do things on your own, or at least have a go! You’re Year 5 and 6 and you are in charge of your own learning and organisation.

þ Use your time well. Make the most of it. Don’t waste time when you could be doing something.

þ Help others and set a good example. We are all a team here. We should be looking out for one another!

þ Read the Rubric! You will do a lot better in your work if you try to include the things I am looking for in your work!

þ Aim for Extended Abstract, not Multistructural!!
