The Information Lab Station

Today we gave a name to our new Science and Activity table. Lots of people have brought in exciting things to look at and Mrs Todd has put a selection of experiments and activities that can be done when our work is done.

Today we created some lovely collage crosses to celebrate Easter.

Homework Help

Mrs O'Leary has shared a wonderful online resource with us. The site AnyQuestions.co.nz is open from 1-6pm Monday to Friday and has friendly librarians from around New Zealand available to answer questions online. They do not give answers to homework questions, but direct students to where they can find the information for themselves. There is another site called ManyQuestions.co.nz which is available 24 hours a day which also has information to help students answer questions.

The longest paper by room 3

At room3 for golden time we had to make the longest strip of paper with only one piece of A4 paper.If you cut it off you were not allowed to cellotape it back on. They got so long that we had to take them out side Saskia came first, Matthew v came second and Ryleah came third. By Ella and Finn

Life Education

This week we had our first visit to the Life Education van where we met up with Bernie and Harold. It was fun and we talked about what makes a good friend.

Swimming Sports

Well done to all the Room 3 students who took part in lots and lots of events at the swimming sports today.  It is a pleasure to have such an enthusiastic bunch of students in my class this year.

Reading Jigsaws

Our reading log this term is in the form of a jigsaw.  Every book read earns a coloured piece on the jigsaw.  Some Room 3 students are looking very colourful; others are still very grey.

Cake Competition

Here are some more of the wonderful cakes decorated by Room 3 students for the Gala cake decorating competition.  We had several winners in our class. Great work.

The Gala

Yesterday we had the Gala! Mrs. Todd was on the Lucky dip and there were lots of other places to play and guess and win!! We had lots of fun and the Gala went on to 7.30! The gala was a lot of fun but it all took a lot of preperation! This photo is of the cakes the year 5's and 6's entered in the cake decorating contest! We had to put up the gazibos and move the tables so that we could sit down! this is maisies cake it is NZ!! !
