Champion Readers

This term our reading log was in the form of a jigsaw. The first 6 students to complete their jigsaws were Sean, Lauren, Mele, Paulene, Louise and Molly. Mrs O'Leary donated 2 books as prizes. Mrs Todd put the 6 names into a hat and had her son draw the names out. The lucky winners were Mele and Paulene who will no doubt enjoy reading their new books during the holidays.

Goldentime Science

On Friday we conducted a number of scientific experiments using lollies. These included extracting colour, blind tasting, detecting taste without using the other senses, trying to taste without saliva and generally just having fun. Eating the leftovers was also quite popular!!

AntARcTica ART!

The students in Room 3 have worked very hard this week, and achieved a lot, especially considering we have only had 3 days to work in. Today we created silouettes of creatures that could be found in Antarctica. I think the results are wonderful.
